Application of GPRS or Broadband over Power Lines wirh SCADA for controlling and monitoring 125 equipment goegraphically dispursed over an area of 1000km2. bandwidth of 252kbit/s is enough. My question: Whether the GPRS is reliable and suitable for SCADA Applications?? what are the famous brands and venders of such gears?.. And I wounder if someone has practical experience with BPL over 11/33KV MV Power lines.. and also what are famous brands and vendors of such equipment.. Thanks..

Are you looking for GPRS equipment or for SCADA that has all the features of handling communication and substations with a geographically spread and data sync after reconnecting etc. ?
For the SCADA part I would suggest to take a look at WinCC OA. It has very strong features for these purposes along with some great references.
A good place to start:

Or go straight to:

Where you will find documentation, user forum with experts, download of (trail) software all free after free registration.

If the application is substation automation (including numerical relays, PLCC, Energy Meters) then you may have to install DATA CONCENTRATOR and integrate the same with any RTU/SCADA for further integration to high end devices like DCS/ PLC for entire plant.
