The protocol available in the drive I am using is RS 485. Even the PLC model JZ10-11-T17 has RS 485.
So i want to know how is it that I can establish this communication.

Thank you

Dear Rujuta,
Can you send me a link to the software for the PLC programming (Unitronics Jazz model T17). And a link for documentation in PDF for the drive ( Delta VFD-EL series)

IF YOU NEED HELP can you send me (if you want):
- the functionnal analysis for this project (if not restricted)
- the software that you start to program (if not restricted)
- the electrical drawing for this project (if not restricted)
- the list of parameter you want to manage with the HMI (if not restricted)

If you can send me more(drawings, etc) my gmail adress is :

Dear Rujuta,

Which kind of Add-on Modules for the PLC ?
I supposed Programming Kit and Com Port Kit.

If you are going to use the Com Port Kit, choose MODBUS and the PLC must be in MASTER mode. The modbus over RS425/RS232 should be RTU, according to me.
Then, you have to know which kind of profile your drive is using. (Siemens profile,Specific profiles, other profile )
After you have to initiate the communication by sending commands according profile or just poll for the parameters you want to adjust/change in a loop and check the result.
if the communication is ok update your HMI else alert the user that the communication between PLC and DRIVE is malfunctionning !

Do you control the start and stop the drive with I/O or by the communication, in this case you have to do more.

Bye
