Dear All,
Please share some basic info on Piezo electric motor's or Ultrasonic motor's application and limitation. As far as i know, it is mostly used in positional controlled or servo system or camera lens movement etc.,. I feel it cant be used only in short duty cycle and more precise movement(either linear or rotary), not for continuous and high power. If yes, why cant we build for conventional power sizes. Piezo crystals are cost effective solution....i may be wrong !!!
