How to become a professional in PV system?  What is normally recommended?

Hi Victor. In fact this is a question which I'm awaiting reply from professionals.

First of all you should determine professional in what specific area: technology, economics or integration. On all areas there are loads of very good books available and probably some universities and colleges have dedicated courses also in your area. One option, as always, is starting working at one of companies involved in this business.

Depending on the location you live in you will be looking at working in part of the electrical industry or manufacturing. For short installation and services done under electrical industry. Panel manufactures are usually looking for electrical assembly background or electrical engineering. Some books do a good job cover PV solar topics but at some point you will be looking at the electrical trades.

There are several ways. One would be to get a PE license. I'm currently looking for EE PEs and I'd hire one without PV background and train hm/her if needed.

Any information close to singapore or someone can suggest some courses in PV installations that could be taken online

Big interest in renewable energy and Engineering background. Then you can start to read on internet and see regulations in each country.

In India: there are 50 cities are selected to for 'Solar City projects'. Survey is done by PV professionals. They pointed out the potential and feasible repalcement of conventionally used energy. in second step they're looking for the supplier/manufactureres to install the systems. I think PV professional do these things. I would like learn detail steps in these types of projects.
