I AM TALKING ABOUT PV MULTI CRYSTALLINE..IN INDIA.. AND WHAT IF THERE IS CLOUDS IN THE SKY THAN WHAT WILL BE THE EFFICIENCY AND NORMALLY WHAT WILL EFFICIENCY

say we are putting 100 kw plant does that means it will generate 100 kw in one hour or less than that ?
in figures if anyone can Provide me with input thank you..??

Dear Ajay,

There are many components that affect the KWh output of the PV panels.

100 KWp panels will produce 100 KWh in one hour under Standard test conditions usually in lab tests. The conditions of operations are much different from STC. You have to account for the efficiency degradation due to higher operating temperatures (there is half percent efficiency decrease for every degree rise in temperature for cSi panels), then the performance degrades under cloudy conditions. The DNI/GNI factor also plays role. Partial shading also hampers the panel output.
One more important factor that comes into play is the tolerances parameters of the panels.

Then there losses in wiring (~3%), inverter (4-6%).

You can run solar insolation studies for 4-5 cities in India using PVWatts international
Example: In Bombay with a .8 derate factor (20% DC/AC conversion loss from ALL factors including wiring, inverter, etc) and panels tilted at latitude you can expect
annual output of 1352 kWH per kWP

Look on the right side, choose ASIA and see the city from the drop down window

@ Ratnesh so what you say as 100 kWp the output will be on cloudy day an approximate value.??

Drop in outpur can be substantial on cloudy days, upto 80% depending on the time cloud cover is present and I would not be surprised if it completely stops production sometimes and you maight have sudden spikes in the output when the clouds clear.
Hope this helps.

@ Steve Fortuna, Sir Thank you for your guidanceful comment. The link directs to unknown territory. Instead link : http://rredc.nrel.gov/solar/calculators/PVWATTS/version1/#map
may be more specific to your comment " Look on the right side, choose ASIA and see the city from the drop down window ".

@santosh i truly agree you it really helps me alot .. i have some understanding about the solar PV power know but i want to learn more like there are different aspects shading analysis, BOC and how to calculate all these things..??
can u provide me some thing on this ??
I am very much thankful to you guys for your input..!!

Sir,
I have just designed a 100K PV System with crystaline panels. Please figure between $4.50 to $6.50 US Dollars per watt installed cost. This investment depends on a lot of varibles including site, plan, electrical, legal, labor costs, engineering and many other things.

You will require up to 20,000 Sq. Feet of unobstructed roof space to install.
