centum 3000 and new PCs problems

hi dear

in our gas refinery we use centum 3000 r4. we need to buy some pcs for server with windows 2003 support and at least 8 gigabyte ram 250 G hard drive raid support motherboard. we couldn't find this config so we decided to upgrade centum 3000 to centum vp. is it possible ?
how much we should pay for key-code or older one is sufficient?or other suggestion?
centum vp support windows 7 and new PCs support windows 7

Please contact OEM (Yokogawa). I am sure they will be able to provide you the required PCs (Sysems) for Centum 3000.

Yes, upgrade from Centum 3000 to Centum VP is possible. I am not sure how much that will cost but you can check with OEM or some system integrator to propose you a solution.

You could get VM Ware workstation and set Centrum up in it to run under the native version of windows. Keep in mind you will need more RAM but amazingly it should run about as fast if not faster.

Hello Ali:

It is not good idea to use VM Ware.
I recommend you contact to YOKOGAWA Technical support for a general evaluation of the system.
Licenses are not a serious problem for an upgrade, but will need to use new interface cards in all HIS. Possibly you may have to use VNET/IP interface card for each HIS.
Will be necessary to check if the communication modules are able to use CENTUM VP or going to requiere change to the nodes.
The upgrade system from CENTUM3000 to CENTUM VP is not only a matter of changing PCs.
Best Regards,

Suggest you contact Yokogawa, they have standard approved PC configurations for their systems and will be able to provide you with these.

An upgrade from CS3000 to Centum VP is possible but will require extensive support from the OEM. They also have recommended server configurations and manufactures which I would recommend adhering to. Upgrading the VNET/IP cards to the new PCIexpress versions will be required if your old machines use PCI

It is not supported running Centum VP in an virtual environment. Mostly because of this special VNET/IP cards which are not supported by the hypervisors.
