It is always good practice to replace like for like componants..but if you are finding problems sourcing. May a suggest a company that deal with obsolete and hard to find items? Look up Mark5, this company are based in the UK but I believe they can ship out to other countries if required..

I don't see a problem functionally. You have to deal with issues like
* relay dimensions / cut-out changes on the panel
* Wiring changes
* Drawing / scheme changes
* Relay setting / programming / configuring etc.
These are extra works, but manageable

Yes we can use different make relay for protection relay system of a switchgear panel.
The rating and functions have to be same.

Theoretically speaking, yes. But, you would have to go into the details to match the inputs and the outputs of the two relays.

Yes. I've had no choice but to do this previously on old equipment with obsolete relays. Its always preferable for the OEM to carry out the engineering/installation but this isn't always possible for old equipment as companies go out of business, etc. If OEM isn't available then a specialist company with detailed knowledge of the equipment is usually able to take on the work.

Except if the existing relay is a self powered relay with "propriatairy" specific CTs, it should be possible to replace the relay.
Take also care if the application, differential for example,of the new relay requires particular specifications for the CTs
